Review Summary

The tires excel in off-road conditions like mud, rocks, snow, and ice, providing impressive traction and durability. They also perform well on-road, with good wet and dry traction, though some users note they may wear faster and have a harsher ride when used primarily on paved roads. Overall, the tires are versatile and capable, handling both daily driving and off-road adventures.

Terrible choice by Jeep

Came on my Jeep JT Texas Trail. I have 13,000 miles and cannot wait until they wear out. Road noise is horrible, driver front sounds as if part of the tread is worn more than the rest. Does not handle well cornering on wet pavement. Probably a good tire for off road, but not daily drive. I will perform a 5 wheel rotation this weekend to get the front left into the spare position.

John316, we're sorry to read that you are disappointed in the original equipment tires on your Jeep. We suggest taking the tires to your local BFGoodrich retailer and have them inspected. Give us a call at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST Mon-Fri so that we can get the dealer's findings and determine next steps.

BEST tire I have ever owned !!!

I have had these on my 90 Wrangler for about 8 months, I have taken them in everything from mud, rocks, snow and sand, there is a rare need for even 4 wheel drive. They are really smooth on the road and quiet. I have previously owned 3 sets of the older Mud Terrains and there is no comparison. Mine are only 35/12.50/15 but now I'm in search for a set of 37's THEY ARE THE BEST !!

I really miss the old Mud Terrain

I don't understand why you stopped making it. It reminds me of when Ford stopped making the Taurus!!!! JP BFGoodrich tires are great, but you should still offer the old Mud-Terrain in popular sizes.

Another great BFG product

I have these in a 285/70/17 on a 2005 GMC Sierra. They work great on/off road. They hum a little(hey, they're an MT) and ride as smooth as can be expected. I have 27000 miles on them and they are still better than half tread.

Over the past few decades, there has been a BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A in some version on the market. With technological advances, new versions are introduced. Currently, with the BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2, we incorporated a more aggressive new look, increased sidewall strength, and improved the traction potential in soft soil. These innovations add to a design that already provides excellent off road (as well as on road) traction and handling.

GREAT tire for daily driver

This tire has great traction in the NC red clay, I had no trouble driving down the farm trails in 2wd. Also on the rare occasion NC get snow, I had no problem helping other stuck vehicles.
