2013 Mercedes GLK250 BlueTEC. Serviced at Mercedes-Benz Nanaimo from new to 87,527 km (last record). The vehicle was operated mostly in the city and used for towing a trailer, which is considered severe service. Severe service for a vehicle includes conditions that put extra strain on the engine, such as frequent short trips, driving in extreme temperatures, heavy traffic, or towing. Vehicles under severe service require more frequent maintenance to prevent mechanical issues and extend their lifespan. I purchased this vehicle at 140,000 km and discovered that the turbocharger had premature excessive play and required very expensive repairs. In addition, the crankshaft itself had already developed excessive axial play, which is unheard of on any diesel engine that is built to last at such low mileage — unless it was neglected, which the service booklet appears to prove. The first red flag: the first oil change was done at 12,444 km (this is supposed to be a break-in oil change and must be done no later than 5,000 km). The second oil change was at 32,444 km, making it a 20,000 km oil change. Later, the wrong engine oil weight ( 0W30 not 5W40) was added on top of overextended oil change intervals, creating the perfect recipe for a worn-out engine and its components at this mileage. Prove me wrong. I hope this may help someone avoid spending thousands of dollars on repairs that should never have happened because of bad service, poor service advisers, and technician neglect.

I want to share a five-star review for Mercedes Benz Nanaimo. I highly recommend them for any vehicle repairs or purchases. Their team stands by their work and goes above and beyond to ensure you're not inconvenienced if any issues arise. Having owned a few Mercedes-Benz vehicles, as has my family, I can confidently say that Paris and the entire staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I wouldn’t trust my MB vehicles to anyone other than a dealer, as they consistently resolve issues that others cannot. While their rates may be higher, it reflects the superior level of service they provide. I’m truly grateful for everything they’ve done for me over the years. Thank you, Mercedes Benz Nanaimo!

My S63 app was registered to admin. Tried calling several dealers and no one was able to help until Nick in service not only got me all sorted out but, called me back, logged me in, helped with step by step, and took me all the way to finish line like NO dealer in Ontario all the way to British Columbia!! He managed to do what no one did between Toronto and west coast. Beyond any expectation and blew me away in how patient and helpful he was. Kudos to the dealership for having such spectacular specialists like Nick! Thank you as I now have access to my S63 and mobile phone everything working and accessible!!
