K02 to Trail Terrain

K02's wore out, needed some new tires and went for a step down because road noise was getting terrible with the K02's. Silverado 1500 with the 275x65r18. I no longer wanted 10 ply tires, K02's are awesome, tough but man they are harsh and loud! Not terrible in town or on nice highways but country crap roads and terrible town roads they are annoying after a while. I can't say enough good about the Trail Terrains! So quiet! So smooth! Things I have notices so far, I went from 18MPG combined to 21MPG. Rolling resistance is almost not even there with the TT tires. Letting off the gas to slow down coming in to town where it turns to 35 I had it nailed with the K02's where I didn't have to use the brake, I let off the gas with the TT tires and I am still going 60Mph by the time I hit the 35Mph zone! Rumble strips in the middle of the road you hardly feel now. I tried every tire pressure on the K02's finding 55 front, 45 rear to be the most comfortable and least noise over the 3 years I drove on them. The TT tires have 34 PSI. The TT tires are 2 ply so the ride is so much smoother. Handling seems to be about the same, they just feel great. They don't look quite as good but they are nice looking tires and just so much better on the road.

Good features.

I was pleasantly surprised how much quieter they are over the Goodyear Wranglers that came with my truck. They even have a higher load rating. It just so happened that it rained here and they seem to perform well.

Quiet long lasting

Put these on my '15 Ram after a poor experience with the Michelins in winter conditions. They served just the right purpose. Quiet highway primarily, sufficient traction for mild off road, farm, gravel roads, towing, and fair winter performance that my wife could comfortably winter commute with them in extreme nw MN. coming up on 70,000 with pretty regular rotations, but I've last couple 32nds of tread went really fast on the drives. Honestly a great all around primarily highway all terrain. I feel like I'm leaving something on the table with another Tire or newer technology but aside from the steep price now I'm struggling to not warrant putting another set on the high mileage vehicle.

Not suited for full size truck - Simply unstable.

My first review was way too kind. These tires are simply unstable and not safe when installed on a Ram 1500 Crew 6.4 box with the 5.7L. Read my first review for more information. After only 2 days with theses tires I’ve call the 60 days satisfaction line, they sent me for an inspection to a garage (not the one I bought them from) apparently that garage forgot a few things, I now have to return to a 2nd garage, get an inspection, stop driving my truck during the delivery time of the new tires, pay myself for new tires and installation to another appointment, wait until the garage received the reimbursement from Michelin, support the cost of 4 new tires (2000$) then return to the garage there to get my refund for the tires only and absorb the 150$. I need to drive a total of 4 hrs back and forth to dealer visits. I had to call 6 times Michelin Costumer service to get it moving. This is ridiculous and all of this for unstable tires, tires that pulls right of left every-time I brake, tires that makes my steering feel louse. I quit, to complicated to get a 60 days refund

Could be good on SUV, no good on full size pickup. Unstable but confortable

Cons : Feel wrong on a 2019 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 6.4’ box. Swirly tire, follow every road imperfection, unstable, makes the steering soft and non precise even the XL version. The truck steers left or right during hard braking depending on the road. I bought it only two days ago and I already regret my choice, Pros : incredibly quiet, great road cracks absorbtion. I should have stayed with the LT tire I’ve been using for the last 12 years, first time with BF and unfortunately the last one. I hope these tire wears fast and to change them quickly.

GREAT TIRES

I bought them 2 months ago and they have been one of the best on and off road tire just the perfect mix of what I needed.

Couldn't be happier with these tires. Have them on a Grand Wagoneer and drove over 5 hours in a Blizzard through Quebec without a single issue. I'll never own an all wheel drive vehicle without them.

Beware of failing sidewalls

I purchased a set of 4 Trail-Terrain T/A in 2024 so far i have 1 replaced under warranty now another side wall is failing it it now getting replaced. I have absolutely no confidence in these tires at all. I can understand 1 but now the 2nd with less than 10k miles. something is wrong with the tires. they were rotated once and looked ok now they are falling apart. I have never had an issue with any of my BFG tires till now. I will never buy BFGs again after this set.
