Review Summary
The tires provide excellent handling, stability, and traction, even in wet conditions. Many customers have used them on classic and muscle cars for years with great satisfaction. However, a common complaint is that the raised white letters on the tires tend to turn brown over time, despite cleaning efforts, which may be a deterrent for some customers.

White Letters turning BROWN
I have always had BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised white letter tires on my Fox body Mustangs over a 30 year period. Just bought new tires within the last 2 years. And the car is always kept in the garage. They still have the "nubs" on them so the problem is obviously BF Goodrich! What are they going to do with so many unhappy buyers. I can't get mine WHITE like they should be and quite frankly for the amount of money I spent, they should be BRIGHT WHITE! I think they need to replace them!

WHITE LTEERS TUIRNING BROWN
After reading of example after example and then many more examples of white lettering turning brown and then BFG simply saying, "sorry your not satisfied", I will NOT be replacing the tires on my '66 Impala with BFG. Sad indeed at the lack of response to actually fix the issue. Was looking fwd to those new Radial T/A's too!

white letters turning brown ???
thanks Guys and Gals for the heads up on BFG-TAs having browning letters, I have a mustang fast back with 30 year old TAs . the car only sees nice days and has low mileage from year to year. I was considering new TAs only because of their age but the white letters are still white and look great with a light wash .Considering the brown letter issue, ,I will be looking for a different brand of tire .Sorry BF-Goodrich. .....Hope you folks can get some satisfaction from BFGs head office.

Not happy at all.
Have had t/a's on my Nova for 14 years now. Replaced my first set 3 years ago and really are not happy with the light brown/tan letters on the tires. My first set were bright white. Not a good looking tire at all. Will buy something else next time.

Brown sidewalls
Bought 215-65-15 and 235-60-15 at the same time, the 235 letters stays white but the 215 turns brown sitting in the garage in two weeks. The 215 has been changed three times, BFG has no clue

My Raised White Lettering turning brown
I have bought Radial T/A on both classic cars I won (1969 GTO and 1969 Grand Prix) and both sets are turning yellow...I clean them and 48 hrs later, back to yellowing..They range from 2-3 years old with very limited mileage, as I only drive them in Summer...What can you do to solve this issue? I am in Montreal, Canada (but put ME as State, as no options for Canada) Robert Ziwani

White lettering turns brown
I also have bfg tires that lettering has turned brown, no matter how much you scrub they will not turn white and stay that way, it is very frustrating, I like everything about them, except that I cannot get the letters to stay white.

White Lettered Tired turn brown.
Like a lot of others, my BFG tires I purchased a year ago are brown white letters not white. I put 200 miles on the car in the year, so its not driving that causes it. Like others, I have tried wet sand, scrubbing, bleach, turpentine, steel wool and nothing makes them white. It ruins the look of the car when you take it to a show. My local tire guys says nothing wrong with the tires That is not acceptable. Where or who do you contact at BFG to see why the problem and how to correct?

Great tires, great big price.
It's time to get a new set of tires for a vehicle I recently purchased. I guess I've been a loyal customer over the years, buying nothing but BFGs for my vehicles. Right now I have 33 12.5 15 BFG mud terrains on my 86 Chevy truck, 255 60 15 T/A radials on my 71 Olds and 69 Chevy and 245 50 16 BFG G-Force 2 on my Astro van. Overall I love the tires, but while calling around this morning, it seems that you are pricing yourself right out of my budget.

White lettering turning brown
Same as everyone else unfortunately. I bought these tires two years ago to complete the restoration of my '66 fastback and almost immediately the letters started to turn brown. I tried the super clean as noted earlier and it worked the best of anything so far. I did two rounds with it then a followed up with greased lighting. Very disappointed in BFG.
