Review Summary

The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires offer good traction and grip in various conditions, including snow and wet roads. Many customers report a smooth ride and improved fuel economy. However, some users experienced issues such as vibrations, balancing problems, and shorter tread life compared to the previous model. The tires may also be noisier and less comfortable on the highway compared to other all-terrain or highway tires.

Poor tread life

Decent tire and have been solid in snow, mud and daily driving but I dont even have 20,000 miles and I need to replace them.

We're glad to hear the All-Terrain T/A KO3 have performed well in snow, mud, and daily driving, but we’re sorry to hear the tread life hasn't met expectations. Please visit an authorized tire retailer for an inspection and have the dealer call us at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST) with their findings.

The best tire money can buy

I have always had ko2s, and they were great except they were very slippery on wet roads and compact snow and ice, I have put on thousands of miles on the ko-3 , 285-70-17” on ice and snow in bc and northern Alberta, they really shine with the new rubber compound, and ride smoothly too, the sidewalls and very aggressive, I’d definitely recommend them.

Exciting new product with lettering too!

I am pleased with the traction of the KO2 . The increased speed rating to S and the white lettering have me excited. The increased side wall strength should also make the tire appear much less soft of its pressure. I look forward to a new pair of KO3 for my 2013 Raptor with the white lettering! I treat my ride well, and the tires have been strong for all weather tractions.

Incredible tires and amazing whitewall lettering

Best BFG yet. I have ko2 and now k03 on my Colorado Diesel. They do amazing in snow/ice and are extremely quiet on dry pavement. Smooth as a bell. I know some people had issues with vibration on the K02, but that was definitely fixed with the K03. My favorite part is they made the white raised lettering about 1/4" taller which is more noticeable in aesthetics. White lettering is tough to keep clean, but I found that Detail King whitewall cleaner keeps the lettering looking new. It gets them bright white in about 15 seconds with very little effort. I hid the white lettering in the past because of how tough it was to get them white again, but very happy now

Ran K02’s before and they were the best ever. Hope my K03’s live up to the standards and reliability of the K02!!!

I have purchased BFG tires in the past for my truck and have always maximized my mileage and great traction and wear for all my driving conditions.

Perfect in all but One Way!

These tires have proven to be worth their premium price-tag, mostly! They are comfortable and quiet on-road (a big selling point after running some noisy AT tires from a competitor), and extremely capable off-road! My ONE gripe with the KO3 is that they are only offered as an E-rated tire for 16" wheels, the standard wheel size of most Tacomas. Despite using my truck regularly for moderate off-roading, I feel like the E-rating is overkill for a midsize truck like the Tacoma. This is a HEAVY tire with a stiffer sidewall that significantly impacts the trucks every day drivability. At 50lbs per tire, the truck feels more sluggish and its already not-so-greatly gas mileage has gotten worse. Surely I am not the only one who wishes a lighter, C-rated tire was available in our 265/70 and 265/75 16" sizes!

Perfect In All But One Way!

So far, the KO3's have proven to be worth their premium price-tag. They ride very smooth, perform beautifully off-road, and are very quiet on the highway (a big selling point after some noisy AT tires from a competitor). My ONE complaint, and it is a big one, is that these tires are not available in anything lighter than an E-rating for 16" wheels (the factory wheel size on most Tacomas). I drive a '21 Tacoma that I primarily use as an "overlander," and while a tough AT tire is appreciated for the moderate off-roading I do with it, a heavy E-rated tire feels like overkill 99% of the time. The weight of these tires significantly impacts the truck's everyday performance. At nearly 50 lbs per tire, they sap the truck's power and tank its already not-so-great gas mileage. Really, I'm mostly annoyed because 16" wheels are an incredibly common size amongst Tacomas, and I feel like the demand for 265/70/16 or 265/75/16 tires would be significant enough to warrant a lighter, C-rated tire that's better suited for everyday use.
