Review Summary
Customers praise the tires for their remarkably quiet highway performance and exceptional traction in wet, snowy, and icy conditions, with many highlighting confident off-road grip on gravel and mud. However, a substantial group reports severe balancing issues requiring multiple attempts and causing vibration above 65 mph, with some needing excessive weight. Several compare unfavorably to the previous model, citing weight penalties and reduced performance. Despite these concerns, most customers consider the traction and quiet ride worthwhile for all-terrain use.

Danger
On snow or ice they are dangerous, I got K2 on my Touareg and I wont buy another set. Ice and snow they are useless slippery and good for accidents.
USE WITH BALANCE BEADS 10/10 traction and quality
Ive had the 225/70R16 ko3 for a little over a year with 20k miles. They are wearing evenly and have great snow, offroad and wet road traction. Ive seen many reviews about the struggle to balance these tires but it seems this is common through each generation of these TA. Ive used each generation and these ko3 are by far the best. I have always used ceramic ballence beads of all of my tires and ive never had a vibration issue. The beauty of them is the faster you go the better they work and the tires get rebalanced every time you come to a stop. Im not sure why more people havent been able to figure this out.
BEYOND A GREAT TIRE
IN SPITE OF WHAT YOU READ THESE GOODRICH T/A KO3 TIRES ARE GREAT.. BARELY ANY ROAD NOISE, GREAT TRACTION, LOOK GOOD. GOOD IN RAIN, SNOW, GRAVEL, YOU NAME IT. HAD NO PROBLEM ROAD BALANCING THIS TIRE.. IT IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST A/T TIRE OUT THERE...BAR NONE
Best A/T tires I've had on my trucks.
Very happy with my 275/70/R18 KO3 tires. Ford F250 and I tow a 32ft 5th Wheel camper. 45,000 miles on them. Road noise is minimal compared to other A/T tires I've had and they have been excellent in the snow. They are still good enough to get me around the flatlands until next spring if I didn't have an elk hunt coming up in a few weeks and want deeper tread for the mud and snow I expect. (I'll be towing the trailer over multiple mountain passes in Colorado, including the Eisenhower/Johnson tunnels and Vail pass, both of which can be very nasty.) So new 275/70/R18 KO3 tires in the next few days.
Durable
I bought a set of BFGs 4 yrs ago. BC winters, hunting, exploring and daily road use.... Well over 90k later it's time for a new set of tires and yes I'm off to get the kO3s What helps is tire maintenance and management.. regular rotation and pressure helps, but over all I'll be installing the kO3s on my other two trucks.

FAQ
OE Code: FOR = Ford, GM = General Motors
Government UTQG Ratings do not apply to light truck sized tires.
>> The sizes shown are average design values for tires measured on specified measuring rim widths. Some tires may vary from this value by +/-3% of the section height (affecting overall diameter), and +/-4% of the section width.
>> Section width varies approximately 0.2" (5mm) for every 0.5" change in rim width.
>> Tread patterns are often tuned to accommodate different tire widths. Tires for a particular dimension of a given tireline may vary in appearance from the tire shown in the photograph.
WARNING: Serious or fatal injury may result from tire failure due to underinflation or overloading. To ensure correct air pressure and vehicle load, refer to vehicle owner's manual or tire information placard on the vehicle. Serious injury or death may result from explosion of tire/rim assembly due to improper mounting. Only tire professionals should mount tires and they should never inflate beyond 40 psi to seat the beads. Before mixing types of tires in any configuration on any vehicle, be sure to check the vehicle owner's manual for its recommendations. No tire is indestructible. An impact can cause a tire to fail, resulting in serious injury or death. Consult your tire owner's manual for proper maintenance instructions.
When replacing an Original Equipment P-Metric or Euro Metric size tire with an LT-metric or High Flotation size tire, the air pressures of the LT-metric / High Flotation tire must be adjusted in order to properly carry the load of the vehicle. See your BFGoodrich Tires dealer for the proper air pressure recommendation.
DANGER: Never mount a 16" diameter tire on a 16.5" rim.
DANGER: Never mount a 17" diameter tire on a 17.5" rim.
Inflation pressure increase must not exceed the maximum pressure branded on the tire sidewall. When a customer requests a replacement tire with a lower speed rating than the original equipment tire, you must clearly communicate to him or her that the handling of the vehicle may be different, and that its maximum speed capability is limited to that of the lowest speed-rated tire on the vehicle. Exceeding the lawful speed limit is neither recommended nor endorsed.
For high-speed driving, additional inflation pressure and possibly reduced tire loading and/or upsizing is required. In the absence of specific recommendations by the vehicle manufacturer, use the following guidelines based on those in the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization Standards Manual.
For speeds over 160km/h (100 mph), load and inflation must be adjusted according to the table below.
Q-Speed Rated Sizes:
| Maximum Speed (km/h) | 100 |
| Inflation Increase (psi) | 0.0 |
| Load Capacity (% of max.) | 100 |
| Maximum Speed (km/h) | 100 | 106 |
