I had one of the most disappointing experiences ever with Canadian Tire Blainville. After paying over $1,300 for radiator, thermostat, and hose replacement, my car began overheating right after the repair. I returned multiple times, but the same issue happened again and again. Each time, I was told the vehicle was “tested for an hour at idle” by the service team, but the overheating came back the moment I drove it. When I asked for proper warranty service, Peter, the service manager, refused to touch my vehicle again, claiming I wasn’t honest because I had declined to buy a battery he tried to upsell — even though I clearly told him to do any testing necessary. Head office and the store kept bouncing me back and forth for weeks, and I ended up spending money on towing, missing work, and now having a car that doesn’t even run properly. The only “solution” they offered was a $350 store gift card, which doesn’t come close to fixing the problem. I’ve since opened a file with the Office de la protection du consommateur (OPC) to resolve this legally. Avoid this location at all costs. Lack of professionalism, zero accountability, and no respect for customers.

I came in to the Canadian Tire in Blainville because I had a hole in my tire and needed a replacement. The employee at the counter told me it was extremely busy and they didn't know when they would be able to help me but that I could wait in the store until they knew more. I waited for another hour and a half while the employees at the register were back and forth chatting and asking people calling in to wait on hold. After the hour and a half, I went to the employee to ask if there was any update and he said it was too busy and that he would contact me by phone with updates. I left and hours passed with no attempted contact from the garage. I had to call back, wait for 30 minutes on hold just to reach the end of the cue and have the line cut off on me so that I had to call back and wait again. I finally got into contact with an employee who I had to prompt to give me updates on my service. They finally offered me an option for a full replacement set of MotoMaster tires which I accepted and they promised to call me first thing the next morning when the work was completed. I waited until the next day but never received any word from the garage so I called again, waited on hold 20 minutes for the line to cut again and I had to call back. When I finally reached the employee, they casually told me the work was completed already and I could come to pick up my car, without any mention or attempt to contact me as they had promised. Upon arrival and reception of my car, I had been informed they had thrown out the rest of my old tires without asking me and had installed a different set of tires on my car than had been offered and been accepted by me. The only saving grace was the nice, young mechanic (who wasn't the one to service my car) who ran to the back to ensure I got my old tires back. I will not be visiting this location again or be recommending it for any car service.

In freezing cold weather (-25°C), my car’s gas door froze shut and wouldn’t open, even after trying de-icing liquid. My friend and I needed to head back to Montreal, but we didn’t have enough gas to make it. The garage team immediately let us bring the car inside to thaw. Five or six staff members jumped in to help, and one of them eventually managed to open the door from underneath. On top of that, they didn’t charge us anything. Truly outstanding service. Thank you again for your kindness and help!

The customer service staff has an attitude problem. We usually have a great experience at Canadian tire but at location, they will not try to help you out under no circumstances! We will be heading back to the location in Laval and Rosemère from now on.

The customer service is so bad and they show attitude for no reason. Also, the tire centre is a complete mess. Why did they need 3 guys to work on one tire? They can’t even do the simplest thing of putting back the spare tire in its place.
